Just 2 hours outside of Cape Town on the outskirts of Robertson, a winding dirt road through the Kriel’s farm leads to this humble haven with uninterrupted views and no other dwellings or structures in sight.
Luna Cabin is 100% off the grid, solar-powered and eco-friendly. She has been built to blend in and preserve the land, immersed in nature with a soothing and stylish design aesthetic.
The cabin design and details have been carefully considered to provide you with a warm, inviting and relaxing escape. Enjoy the natural fynbos, birdlife and animals from the comfort of your deck or spot zebra and other wildlife on the neighbouring game farm with a pair of binoculars. Off the beaten track, Luna cabin invites you into another world, a place where life is simple, peaceful and beautiful. A place that reminds us to slow down, breathe deeper and look up at the Moon.

Although the road to your stay is dirt, 4 x 4 vehicles are not required to access the cabin. Vehicles with higher clearance are advisable.

Guests are invited to check in at any time after 2pm by following our simple check-in process.

If you find yourselves on the road at night, please drive slowly and be mindful of the resident springhares, buck and porcupines.

We provide a complimentary wood allocation for each stay, but we recommend bringing extra wood if you plan to enjoy extended hours by the starlit fire. Your stay includes a bundle of fire essentials, consisting of two 10kg bags of firewood and one 10kg bag of kindling.

This reservation is refundable depending on the date of cancellation and source of booking.

Robertson boasts some of the best wine farms in the Western Cape. Why not spend an afternoon visiting some of the local farms in the Klaasvoogds region? Or take a tour with Wine Valley Safari and sample a selection of premium wines for the afternoon.

You're lucky to have the farm to yourself with total privacy. Uninterrupted views, complete silence and stillness set the scene for a secluded and peaceful stay.
Game & Bird Watching
Enjoy sitting on your deck and listening to the sound of nature. For avid bird watchers, there are many species to be spotted. Get out a pair of your binoculars and see what game you can spot on the neighbouring game farm in front of the cabin.
Exercise Outdoors
Wake up early for morning yoga on our complimentary yoga mats. Enjoy a morning stroll or run along a dirt track from our farm and connect to a neighbouring farm road which winds all the way to the De Hoop Nature Reserve.

Luna Cabin is situated in the serene Klaasvoogds Valley region. Nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains with views of rolling hills and vast open skies. Klaasvoogds is located in the Robertson wine valley on Route 62. The nearest towns are Robertson and the quaint, Klein Karoo town of Montagu. Carry on along Route 62 to reach McGregor and Swellendam.
